4-21-16 Heading East @ Bingham Creek

Mel and I took off a little early today, I was able to leave work a little earlier and we headed up to the trails.  I had found some more trails, so we went and explored those and then I took her to see the lightening tree.   The bugs were really ACTIVE so we decided to stay out in the open, where the breeze was helping us fend them off.

The sunset on the way home was wonderful,,
Thank you Lord, for all the blessings

Our tracks 12.0 miles

4-17-16 Exploring the 1700 Lines

Darcy and I out exploring new trails!!
Darcy's first time up at the Bingham Creek Trails, and as you see,,, lovin' it!
We ran into some friends, that were heading out, well they thought they were heading out.  Good thing I asked them, and had some extra maps on me.  We got them heading back in the direction of their vehicle.  Then off down the trail we went!!
Exploration Station !!!

After some beautiful trails so very well maintained by the Enduro~Kings <3

We popped out onto 1725 line that dropped us onto the main line.
We hopped that till we got back to the creek and trail paralleling it.

Our tracks 10.7 miles

4-16-16 East to the 1690 Line

Taveler, Powder, and I decided to explore some more area, some time back when exploring this same section  I could see that there was more trail heading east.

Sure enough, when we got over to the 1690, whalla!!  more trail!!
This is the "Never Ending Trail Story" I love this place !!!

On the way back we went by the Lightening Knob, I took a few more shots of this electri~fried tree.

Traveler, standing next to the special tree to give it some size, and scope.  :)  Right to the left of Trav, you can see the trench where the root system was blown out of the ground from lightening.

This would be the top that was blown out of the tree, it is much bigger than it looks in this photo.

Our tracks 9.4 miles

4-11-16 Lightening Struck

Sneaking out of work Monday afternoon, paid off well.
Mine and BP's first solo ride together since she came back from Sandi's..     She exhibited a little old behavior, but it was short lived, we had a real adult conversation about poor behavior, and by the end, she came around to my way of thinking... which of course was the right way of thinking.

BP's face after our talk,,, much more agreeable :)

The lightening tree, very interesting display of God's glory, might, and power.

The sunset was a most wonderful treat considering the ride was blanketed by clouds.

Given the extra energy that BP had to behave naughty, I figured she could hammer out a few more miles, 10 to be exact,, it did her well and I am sure built some much needed positive work ethic.

3-26-16 Ivy's Ride

The first trail ride on Ivy ~
that is after she was taken off
Crack Gograin !!!

Nice little 6.8 miles

I talked Mel into coming with me, thankfully she could pull it off.

Mel and Powder, :)

The weather was great, no rain, even a little warmer than what we
thought it would be.

Ivy lost a shoe, so we had to supply
her with a boot, but she did
great !!
Ivy, has been training in the arena for about 6 weeks, and she was ready for some real riding.  She did very well, other than loosing a shoe.  She went out front, and she followed at a nice distance too.
All in all, she was quiet and calm, the whole way, 6.8 miles.

We checked out the new bridge that the Enduro Club put in, WOW they did an awesome job !!

Mel, got along with Powder great too, she did wonderful :)

Ivy was a little stink eyed at Traveler, but Trav must have gotten the vibe, that she wasn't wanting to be BFF's and kept his distance.

2/9/16 Sneaked Out of Work Early

We three amigos !!!

Our boss let us leave work early today!!  We did get all our work done too.. ;)

Trav, was so happy, kiss please..

As Amy says,,, instead of the proverbial, between the ears shot, I went with a from over the rear shot !!

It was a short ride today, only 5.6 miles,, but it was perfect in every little tiny way !!!

If you look at this long enough,,, it looks like a bunny rabbit's nose...   well it did to me !!
Goofy, I know, but it made me smile,, it's the little stuff..

2/8/16 Found Some Holes

Heading out to immerse ourselves in this most beautiful day !!!!

Mel, probably wishes she had taken me up on the ibuprofen before we took off,   but she is a little stubborn like that.. ;)

We found the most stupendous trail, the only disappointing part is that we also found a hole in the trail and it isn't is a place you can by pass .... creek on one side, and swamp on the other...

I hope all the Enduro guys see it and hopefully fix it,,, I plugged up the largest part with a 3 ft. long alder round, that I had to flip end over end to get it down the trail to the hole. All it will do is let people know to slow up and see there is an issue or obstacle.

Our joy before we found the hole...

1/31/16 Last Weekend of January

Rode with me seester all week end !!!  Tons of fun :)

1/30-31/2016
1/30/16  Saturday was a 7.1 mile day

Almost back to the trailer, and it started to rain,,, it's all good !

It rained on us a little at the beginning of our ride and a little at the end, but all points in between were great.

Mel got along splendidly with Brown Pony :)

1/31/16 Sunday  8.4 miles today

It looked to be turning out well in the weather department.  So we decided to hit the trail again.

The rain has made for some wet trails, but the footing is good and solid.

1/24/16 1st Sunny Day in a Week

1/24/16

The plan was stay home and do much needed work,,,
but the sun came out to play, and I just couldn't say no..

I headed west out of the parking area, then north after about a mile or so I headed east across the ol' RR grade.  I did some exploring on some old road that I figured would reconnect me to some trails.  All in all it was a 10.9 mile day with lots of exploring.  Rode some new area the smaller loop on the east side of the map is all new to me.

Cold Afternoon

Bingham Creek Trails is what I call this beautiful place. At the base of the South Olympic Mts.

A cold afternoon, clouds have rolled in, and the temperature is in the low 30's.  Thankfully I plugged my truck in, and she started right up on the first turn.  Shot down to the barn, hooked up the trailer, grabbed a pony, Butters and Trav, and off down the road we went.

At the parking area there was only one other trailer besides me, but while I was tacking up Laura Bond Team#1 came in. She was waiting for Amy Durga Team#2,  and Ann Szolas Team#10. The crazy, fun lovin' trio below.  :)

I finished tacking up and headed out, being I was on a mission to ride to the trail section that I had ridden with Barb Paris Team#41 and Tom, her riding sidekick.  :)

Barb, Tom and I rode back in October, and we rode 13 + miles but the days were much longer, and we did some exploring and marking way points for mapping purposes.

In my haste, to get on the trail I forgot to turn my GPS on till after I had left the trailer, but I think I only lost about 4/10th of a mile, no biggy.

January 3 ride ~ Total miles 11.48

I got back to the truck at approximately 3:55 pm, it wasn't snowing but it felt like it should be, the other girls got back just a few minutes before me, and said they had got word it was snowing down in the valley and it was sticking.  So we all put a move on it, got loaded up and headed on home.
